We really are different.
This weekend I’ve been in full-on education mode, training business owners to change gear and reach super success!
Say you want to build one of the biggest companies in the country, heck, even the world?
Then I really want to bring you the answers at my events.
My vision is to create the best business education for entrepreneurs and business owners. Period.
If you’re here and you want to get there, that’s where I come in.
My mission is to simplify the journey.
How did I do it this weekend?
Well, I flew a group of brilliant entrepreneurs and business owners to the south of France. Provence, to be precise.
What a stunning part of the world.
This retreat - designed for 20 go-getters was something special.
These entrepreneurs brought with them not just drive but hard facts and concrete evidence that true entrepreneurs really are a step removed from the status quo.
The way you think, the habits you harness, the skills you learn and how you allocate your time is 80% of the traits of the successful few.
My team could see it too - the traits, the mindset, the energy.
These were the Jedi of commerce, wielding their force to grow economies, businesses and solve problems.
I might have been Obi-Wan Kenobi for the weekend, but let me tell you, this group was Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back.
No apprentices here. They’re already on their way, seeking those final refinements to move from Jedi to Jedi Master.
For me, it was like finding my tribe.
Instead of being the odd one out at the family BBQ, or the person walking left while the crowd goes right, I spent four days with people just like me.
That’s rare… and I loved it.
It was a gathering of exceptional minds. More unusual than chickens teeth - or getting help with your packing at Lidl!
In that room were people who collectively generate over a billion in annual revenue, hold mountains of net worth, and radiate the energy of teenagers discovering first love.
Their quirks, their drive, their relentless positivity. Their ease with statements like:
“I’ll just borrow £10 million to do that.”
“Next year we’ll make £6 million profit, what should I do with it?”
“When we set up in Singapore…”
These conversations were as normal to them as “Fancy a cuppa?” is to most people.
When you surround yourself with people who believe that buying a £100 million company is simply a matter of how and when, not if, then the art of the possible truly becomes possible.
Who you surround yourself with matters, intensely.
So, all good news?
Not entirely.
Because, while these people are extraordinary, they’re also unanimously dissatisfied.
Many feel lonely, because those around them, often even their loved ones can’t comprehend what they’re doing.
Entrepreneurs are rarely satisfied. We’re fixers, thinkers, doers. Always chasing bigger. Always driven.
Driven to do whatever it takes to win.
So, if you’re driven to do more, go and get yourself into rooms with other driven people.
Just as a bad mood loves infecting bad moves on those around it, being around people who see endless possibilities and opportunities will fill you with endless possibilities and opportunities.
To your continued success,
James

Lastly,
At the airport this week I saw a woman passed out on the baggage carousel. Don’t worry, she eventually came round.
If you’d like to join me at my next event, I am hosting ‘Marketing Masterclass on the 27th of January. Very limited tickets, available here:
